{June 29, 2007}

WOW...this week has flown by! Matthew's last day of dinasaur camp was today and he has had an absolute BLAST this week! He brought home this huge egg that he had made and sometime in the near future it is supposed to "crack" open with a baby dinosaur inside. What fun! I would highly recommend the Horizons program at Southeast Missouri State...kind of expensive...but, Matthew learned so much this week...it was well worth the money!

We are home now for the rest of the day...Jacob & Matthew said they just want to hang out on the couch! Okay by me...we don't do that too often but every now and then it's kind of nice!

Tomorrow morning we've got a t-ball game, a birthday party at noon, and nothing the rest of the day...maybe I'll get a chance to do some scrappin'...it's been a while.

Have a FANTASTIC weekend!

{6-26-27}

What an awesome week this has started out to be! Matthew went to his second day of Fossils & Dinasaur camp at SEMO University...he absolutely LOVES it and he is not one to comment too much about anything! They made dinosaurs out of tin foil on Monday and watched a movie about dinosaurs...today the kids each made a huge dinasaur egg that has a baby dinosaur on the inside...they made it with strips of paper dipped in modge podge (I know what I want to say but I can't think of what the technique is called!!! LOL!) Tomorrow they're going to paint their dinosaur eggs. On Monday, while Matthew was at camp, Jacob & I went to Barnes & Noble storytime where Clifford the Big Red Dog was the honorable guest! Today we just came back home and hung out.

After camp today Matthew had an appointment with an Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist. He has been on Zyrtec now for about 2 years but he still seems to have this "snorting" problem and I just wanted to have it checked out to make sure there wasn't something really wrong. Well, the doctor was incredible with Matthew...when he looked in his throat he noticed that one of Matthew's bottom front teeth was ready to come out...the permanent tooth was already behind it. The doctor acted really funny and basically just pulled the tooth! It went flying and he called his nurse in to find it! Luckily the nurse found it...Matthew is already wondering how much money the tooth fairy is going to bring! Well, after an xray of Matthew's sinus cavity, there seems to be absolutely NOTHING wrong with him...his "snorting" just seems to be something he does and is used to doing. It is something that he will eventually stop doing!

The pictures that I posted are of Matthew this evening at his t-ball game...he's in the batter's box kicking around the dirt! LOL! And, Jacob is playing in the tub...the simplest things keep him entertained!

Well...back to reading a few more chapters of Harry Potter!

2nd Post in 3 days...I'm on a roll!

This is a photo of the small "river" in our back yard this evening after the huge amount of rain that we got. This is typical of our normally 3-5 inch stream that the boys love to play around...
a huge rainstorm and it tends to look like a river!

Yesterday (Saturday) started off with a bang. In my mind I had Matthew's t-ball game at noon...well, we got there and we noticed that the teams that were practicing were NOT Matthew's team. Soon realized, after actually LOOKING at my calendar, that Matthew's game had been at 9:00 am. We had missed it! Matthew wasn't TOO disappointed...Rob ended up taking Matthew & Jacob wading in the creek out at the farm to find little fish & crawdads for Rob to take later in the day for his fishing trip on the river. While they were out having fun I decided to drop in at the scrapbook store and shop a little bit!

Matthew had his best friend over to spend the night Saturday night...the three of them (including Jacob) had fun swimming, playing with sticks outside, building legos & playing plug-in-play games. Finally had them in bed by 9:30...asleep by 10:30. I think they had a great time.

Hope I don't bore you (whoever is reading this!) with boring details but I'm also using this blog as a help to me when I scrapbook and try to journal what's been going on in pictures!

Have a great Monday!

Where Does The Time Go?

Wow...it's been over a year since I last updated this blog! I seriously PROMISE to keep this blog up-to-date with what's happening in the Moore family! My brother, Sam, and his wife, Lauren, had recently asked me about blogging and I had just mentioned to them that I had wanted to start posting to this again. So, here I am! And, Sam...I've figured out how to post pictures...it's really very easy. Just not sure yet how to place them in the blog!

Well, our past year in a nutshell: Matthew had an incredible year in kindergarten with an awesome teacher. Jacob spent most of his days with me and two mornings a week he attended the Jackson High School preschool lab which he loved. Rob...same as usual...busy with work, farming and hanging out with the boys. Me...well, scrapbooking, reading (right now it's Harry Potter #2!) & family stuff are what occupies my time right now...in no certain order!

Since school has been out we've been pretty much just taking it easy and spending most days in our pool! We do go to Barnes & Noble quite a bit for storytime and hot cocoa! The picture above is from Farmington Water Park where we had so much fun...well, until Matthew bumped his head into a handrail and had the most incredible bump on his forhead that the lifeguards and I had ever seen. A trip to the first aid station and numerous calls to the nurse in the ER and we're okay now! This evening we just got back from a short little trip to St. Louis where we enjoyed Six Flags and their water park, plus the City Museum today. The City Museum is an incredible place...we were crawling thru the tightest-fitting spots that you can imagine! What fun! The rest of the summer includes a dinasaur camp for Matthew, Avalanche Ranch Vacation Bible School for both the boys at our church, soccer camp for Matthew, birthday parties, a trip to the Muny to see Peter Pan with my brother Paul and his wife Kristi...and hopefully a few more lazy days out by the pool!

That's about it...please check back often as I WILL BE UPDATING THIS BLOG!!!!!
Take care,
Becky
